connecting with the heart: a 6 week workshop series for the 40s
Last year Ashley wrote a Facebook post on the challenges one often faces in their 40s and the subsequent call to look within (link to post). Responding to requests from her readers, she launched a 6 week workshop series that provides a clear map on how to have a real and connected relationship with oneself.
In this workshop series, Ashley shares her favourite and most effective teachings from the past 20 years of study in a sometimes humorous, and other times deeply moving manner.
Identify the most important aspects of their lives and learn to prioritize their attention on each aspect to find greater life balance.
Examine why happiness doesn't seem to stay as we think it should.
Explore how to calm incessant thinking so they may sleep more easily, feel more peaceful, or be more present with family.
See that addictions to things like wine, food, and cell phone checking can be a pathway to the heart.
Learn how vulnerability can be a way to find deeper connection with others.
Commit to meditation as a daily practice during the 6 weeks.
In a group with other women, realize they are not alone. This is life. We are all in it together.
*Participants do not have to be 40 years old in order to take this workshop. The 40s is symbolic for the call to look within as one contemplates mid-life.
